Aims of Lecture Oral Communication implements active learning and focuses on communicating in English by using interactions between students through practical dialogues. It provides topics where students can share their ideas and experiences as well as build their confidence in terms of conversation, listening, reading, and writing in English.
At the end of every lecture, the students will be able to: 1. expressing themselves in English using practical dialogues in a variety of daily life activities 2. develop listening skills through targeted tasks and visual cues 3. interact with other students following English language models 4. using and extending English grammar in speaking and in writing 5. develop simple presentation skills 6. promote personalized writing

Through active learning Oral Communication lectures presents a range of topics such as introducing self, family and favorite things, school life activities and past experiences in school, sports and leisure activities, money, shopping and time; describing food, travel, movies, career plans, health and healthy lifestyle, music and books, and the environment.

Oral Communication lectures are prepared by practicing communication topics, dialogues, and activities from the textbook or other materials in every class session. To evaluate students, communication tasks to enable students to express their creative thoughts and opinions on a particular topic.

Example of Student Task from the Lecture a. Speaking: Students follow the language models from the textbook or from photocopied materials. b. Listening: Students answer questions from what they hear. c. Reading: Students read on various topics to prepare in-class materials. d. Writing: Students write and prepare materials on topics given, which are used in class.
|
Students will be given tasks on every topic being discussed to recall, comprehend, and practice fluency especially in English vocabulary.
|
Try to extensively speak English all throughout the whole 90 minutes of Oral Communication class.
